Healthy Smoothies Recipes For Your Kids

There is no better way to bond with your child than cooking together! Cooking with kids may prove to be a bit of a challenge, but it’s a fun one for sure. You get to bond with your child while teaching them a useful life skill. Here is a great addition when it comes to school lunch ideas – smoothies! Smoothies are one of the most fun and easiest recipes for kids, not to mention they are healthy and delicious! Here are 8 mouth-watering easy smoothie recipes you can make with your children.

  1. Banana & Strawberry

The classic mix of banana and strawberries! 

1 banana 

2 cups strawberries 

1 cup milk

1 cup ice 

Toss them in a blender and pulse until smooth. You can add a dollop of whipped cream on the top before serving! A delicious treat and healthy snack for your kids.

  1. Mango & Greek Yoghurt 

This is a great school lunch idea for kids because it doubles up as a yummy and creamy dessert! 

1 ripe mango (you can freeze it for extra oomph!) 

½ cup greek yogurt

Sprinkle of cinnamon

Cut up the mango and place the pieces in a blender with the yoghurt. Blend in until the mixture comes together. Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top to jazz up this fun recipe for kids! 

  1. Peanut Butter & Chocolate 

This will easily become one of your kids favourite easy smoothie recipe! 

1 cup whole chocolate milk

1 frozen banana 

½ cup peanut butter 

Chocolate chips 

Blending everything together until smooth and serve with a sprinkling of chocolate chips on top. Cooking with kids has never been more fun with this decadent chocolate smoothie! 

  1. Pineapple & Mint 

This is one of those healthy snacks for kids that are perfect for a hot summers day! 

2 cups frozen pineapple chunks

¼ cup mint leaves 

½ cup of water 


Toss everything except the ice in a blender and pulse until it all comes together. Serve in a tall glass with the ice and a few shredded mint leaves on top. 

  1. Spinach & Banana 

Hear us out! Spinach might seem an odd ingredient to add in a smoothie for kids but trust us, you can’t taste it at all. This is one of the great school lunch ideas for kids because you get them to eat their greens without them even knowing it. 

1 frozen banana

1 cup spinach leaves 

1 cup yoghurt 

Pulse everything together until it becomes blended and smooth. 

  1. Watermelon Refresher 

Light, delicious, and one of the easiest smoothies to make on this list! 

2 cups watermelon cubed (without the seeds) 

3 cups of ice cubes

1 tablespoon of honey 

Mint leaves for decoration

Blend all the ingredients together and serve in a glass with shredded mint leaves on top! 

  1. Mango & Cherry

Not only does this smoothie look absolutely delicious but it also tastes like heaven! Take advantage of cherry season and make these for your children. 

2 cups cherries (freeze beforehand) 

1 cup mango

1 cup of water 

Toss everything into a blender and blend until the ingredients come together. Serve with a cherry on top! 

  1. Berry Blast 

This one becomes even easier because all you need is a bag of frozen mixed berries! 

2 cups frozen mixed berries

1 cup whole milk

½ cup of ice 

Blend everything together until the ingredients become smooth and serve with a few frozen berries on top!
